TAG! You're It. . .

Written By Esthermay Bentley-Goossen on 24 November 2008

Both Michelle @Because I Love You and Mariposa @Mariposa's Tales tagged me within a day of each other with a game of "Six Random Things About Me!"

So. . . Here are the rules as I have chosen to play along:

1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6).
3) Write 6 random things about yourself.
4) Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6) Let the tagger know when you've posted your entry on your blog.

Here. . . are MY SIX RANDOM THINGS:

_________________________________
#1 My full name in Esthermay Victoria Elizabeth Bentley-Goossen and it fits on neither my drivers licence nor my social security card. If I ever have to prove my identity, I may need a lawyer.

#2 I am a law-school drop-out, and I’ve lost touch with most of the people from my past.

#2.5 My husband is my very best friend. He is not a lawyer.

#3 I have often thought I was born in the wrong generation. I would have assimilated better during the Victorian Era (1837 -1901) in continental Europe. My Husband Mark belongs in the Puritan Era (1564 – 1660).

#4 During the Clinton-years, I turned the television set OFF or changed the channel every time that man’s face appeared. (Clinton is a lawyer.)

#4.5 Animal Precinct (Animal Planet) makes me cry every time.

#5 I used to be a Days of Our Lives fan in college. Now I watch it once every six months for three minutes and still know exactly what’s going on. . . . Will Stefano ever die!?? And did he ever find those prisms?

#6 I've been coloring my hair to cover the gray since I was twenty-years-old. That's when I got hooked on Days . . . (I've always liked Mickey Horton. He's a lawyer.)

And it is a good thing that we now stop at six (?). . .

Here are my six tagged friends who also happen to be the six most recent "followers" of The Heart of a Pastor's Wife:

The Mom With Brownies
LauraLee
Betsy
Luke
Sweet Cop's Wife
Ohilda

If you don't want to do this silly random game. . . Don't!
I don't care. I won't call the blog police and I don't know any lawyers. :-)

FUNNY! We also have in common that we are reformed soap opera watchers who can keep up with storylines on little information.

My children call soap operas brain drain... My goodness. My brain drain of choice though is Guiding Light which becomes more ridiculous by the second... just sayin'! I also think I should have been a Victorian girl or at the very least a girl of the 50s... OOOHHH But if a Victorian I would have been the very improper Gibson Girl and if a 50s girl I might have been Rizzo from Grease... Thank Goodness God knows better than us, huh? Acts 17:26 is ringing in my ear!

Thanks for playing along.

I'm a recoving Day's fan too. Stefano will NEVER die - and Bo & Hope will live FOREVER! I also remember when Kirsten Alfonso was a guest star on BayWatch! So, you don't like lawyers?

Love them all!

And I love anything Victorian...in fact I'm making that my wedding theme next year! :)

Thanks for doing the tag...and I'm seeing a side of you I did not know, how fun and how cool!

Yes. A different side of you. Someone of your talent and discernment watching soaps?! Can't see it. Merry and I met in college and 'Days of Our Lives' was usually on in her dorm lounge when I picked her up for lunch. I think I remember Mr. Stefano. Thanks for the memories. I'll go back to 1660 with your husband.

hHere we go again...almost all your answers could have been mine, except for the hair coloring. I have high lighted mine for the last 10 yrs. I have always been a blond, but it seems with each kid, I got darker. So, now i help it out a bit. I laughed at your answers. I too turned the TV OFF every time I saw HIS face. I to think I should have been born in the Victorian era. I have always thought about law school. People say I would make a great lawyer...I don't know if that is good or bad. Days of our lives...college addiction. I conquered that and I am proud to say that i have not indulged in about 15 years.

Yes, I should have been Victorian...except for 2 major things:

-Plumbing/sanitation
-Childbirth

Those two things alone are enough to make me decide not to fire up the time machine in my basement...

Girl, my son is a lawyer. You'd like him. I think he used to throw things at the tv when Clinton came on. Why does everyone like these random tags so much? I learn more about you everytime I visit.
Happy Thanksgiving Friend!

I loved learning these things about you! And no, Stefano will never die, LOL. I think he's immortal in the soap world. I haven't watched it in years, hah hah! We used to be hooked on it.

P.S. Thanks for the tag. Is there a time limit for getting it done?

So interesting to learn about people. Love your long name. Cute about the soap opera. Years ago, I used to watch General Hospital when Luke and Laura were on. Not too long ago, I heard that she's back (Laura) after waking up from a coma.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
