Born After 1972? Consider Yourself a Survivor!

Written By Esthermay Bentley-Goossen on 23 January 2009

If you were born after 1972, consider yourself a Survivor of the Abortion Holocaust. ONE-THIRD of your generation has been killed by abortion in the United States of America.

To believe it is above your "pay scale" to know whether or not this precious child is a life . . . is LUDICROUS! God's Word says:

". . . You created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
~Psalm 139:13-14

"The first thing I’d do as President is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing I’d do."
~ President Barack Obama

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) . . .
would eliminate every restriction on abortion nationwide!
It would eradicate state and federal laws that the majority of Americans support.

Who do you know -- whether related by blood or friendship -- that has suffered the loss of a young child through either miscarriage or death?

And who hasn’t seen the throbbing heartache and life-long pain that these losses bring?

Someone please help me understand -- where’s the disconnect?

Why is a life lost to miscarriage or death so much more valuable that she/he is worthy of grief and bereavement and sorrow and remembrance?

Why does the life that has not yet tasted the air and experienced the brilliant light of day by the hand of the abortionist not receive the same expression of grief and bereavement and sorrow and remembrance?

And if these precious lives are grieved – how are we expressing it?

Oh, sure we talk about how appalling and horrific abortion is.

We can sign petitions.

We can put our names on lists that indicate we lift our President and legislators to the Throne of God in prayer.

But what are we doing to STOP abortion?

The majority of Americans wanted to stop a war in Iraq
and we elected the man who promised to do it.

The majority of Americans wanted to see the American economy reflect a more socialistic ideology and we elected the man who promised to do it.

If it’s true that the majority of Americans oppose abortion, what are we going to do about it?

Where is the CHURCH?

Where was the Church in 1973? Asleep? Apathetic? More engaged in the gospel of acceptance and tolerance than the Gospel of Christ and Laws of God?

Where is God’s Church in 2009? Will we remain engrossed and preoccupied with spreading love and acceptance that we allow the CULTURE of DEATH to permeate our country?

YES, we are called to walk in love . . . and thereby love those who agree that abortion is fine . . . but we are also called to further the cause of Christ, NOT the cause of evil.

God’s Word is absolutely and unmistakably clear on the issue of abortion. It’s EVIL.

What are we – as Christians -- going to do about it? What will we do to keep human interference from infringing upon God's Supreme right to create human life in His own image?

You know, it really ticks me off when people say, "Oh, it's so irrelevant to show those pictures of late-term abortions! Most abortions aren't that late." As if the barbarism were less at an earlier age! As if those babies don't matter because they represent the minority of abortions. As if the number of late-term abortions isn't going to skyrocket with the signing of FOCA.

Oh God, please grant this nation repentance!

If everyone who calls themself a "Christian" had voted with Christian convictions last November, we would not be here today.
I pray for Mr. Obama, but I pray with just as much earnest for Christians who care more about the economy than LIFE ITSELF!

Definitely praying. I was born in 1970, but I'm sure illegal abortion was available then had my parents not wanted me. I pray for the hearts of people to turn back to God and recognize the sanctity of human life, and I pray that the new president comes to his senses - or that enough people take a stand to make a difference. Something has to happen. I know that prayer changes things, but so do our letters and phone calls. We need to be more vocal, indeed!

As a mom it is heartbreaking to see and think of such precious life being lost. Truly heaven belongs to such as these. I am praying.

Why oh why oh why do lawmakers refuse to see these kind of photos?
I had heard that Nancy Pelosi received an envelope from a constituent that had some photos like this and she had a fit over it and threw them at the mail kid in the House Office Building. Who knows the complete truth of the incident but I've heard others like it.
Thank you for your boldness to post these. We need to see this more than just ultrasound pictures.
The sinful political left in this country has convinced women that images on an ultrasound are as nonhuman as a kidney stone.
Those babies are real!

I'm watching GlenBeck right now on FoxNews with Dr. Dobson. The issue is prayer. It appears that now even a "moment of silence" is unconstitutional. Even the word PRAYER is against the law! OH MY GOODNESS!
Perhaps the liberal atheist ACLU'ers know somewhere in their hearts that Prayer works and they must stop it or abortion could become illegal again!
Prayer is all we can do sometimes and if it works, satan must stop it.
I will never stop praying.
What can we do? You keep writing. I'll keep praying and annoying all my friend and family who voted for the Obamination.

Thanks for making it plain for all to see...

Where is the church, asleep in the light.

Praying for God's mercy like never before!

I'll be the pessimist. America has already lost its favor with God and I'm not sure who's to blame and not sure what we can do but pray. The moral decline of America follows the moral decline of Rome. Rome fell. Some Christians will continue to live as Christ commands and others will continue to advance the decline and do it in the name of tolerance and love. Either way, God has already begun his judgment.
And I agree with Andrea. Why can't these pictures be seen more readily by everyone. everyday. always to remind us?

I wonder what would happen if every Christian family got involved by adopting or by becoming foster parents? It's so much easier to hold a picket sign.

On Monday, January 26th...I will remember how in 1979, I heard the doctor say...the bleeding is probably a miscarriage...there's nothing we can do. I was devastated.....my 18 week unborn baby was gone...an ultrasound two days later confirmed it. I'll never forget it...it was like it was yesterday.

I had an abortion in 1995. I have no words, but that I too wish more lawmakers could see these pictures. I sinned. Abortion is sin.

Esthermay, I stumbled across your blog while at the Internet Cafe and was blessed by your posts. It's so wonderfully refreshing to find another "cyber-sister" proclaiming God's Truth!

These photos are haunting. There are just no words.

Love, Joy, Grace, and Peace in Him,
Kathryn

OHHH, I have come across photos of abortions a couple of times in the last two months, and realized how (though I support pro life organizations and hate abortion)desensitized to the REALITY of the horror I was. If we called it what it is...baby slaughter, perhaps we wouldn't be at this place of polluting our land with innocent blood. But just like "tolerance" for love, abortion (choice) for slaughter or murder changes the truth of God for a lie.

I agree with one of the commenters, America is already under judgement...given over to a depraved mind...and still God's amazing mercy is here!

When I watched the ball drop in Times Square, I wondered if something would happen. I thought how merciful God is to us when our country remains still under safety. We have had difficult circumstances, but still such blessing. Oh what a wonderful God!
