Satisfaction . . .

Written By Esthermay Bentley-Goossen on 14 January 2009

"That everyone may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all his toil -- this is the gift of God."
~ Ecclesiastes 3:13

. . . Oh! that we were as eager for our Spiritual food as our furry friends are for theirs.

The purpose of WordFilled Wednesday is to share God’s Word (no famous quotes or other literature — only the beautiful word of our Father) through photos and a Bible verse! Amydeanne hosts this meme every Wednesday on her blog, The 160 Acre Wood. Link your own WFW post and visit others every Wednesday and share the Word!

That's a good one, my friend.
And we like the new name for little girl. She's a good looking lab.

This is a good one. As silly as it is, the message is so clear. We can learn much from our pets.

Awww, Gracie's adorable!

And any mention of lasagna will always get a hearty "Amen" from me!

This post reminds me of one of my favorite verses:

Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. (Isa 55:2)

Hugs to you!

[smile] Yes, but often the spiritual food is more like vegetables we don't like but are good for us... spiritual discipline takes work. It does bring about joy, like healthy bodies do, but it isn't like eating the last of the lasagna. Sadly.

But, yes, may we relish God's word more and more!

Great photo and never saw that verse in the WORD!!! I didn't even think they knew about lasagna!(lol)
But I love the one that you chose.

So very true...may we hunger & thirst...for our spiritual food
...Our DAILY MANNA as a dog to water, food or lasagna?...leftovers. Not me, I want the first fresh anointing...the meat
...the BEST part of HIS WORD for me!!!

Thank you for blessing me with your
inspirational WFW & congratulations for the CWO recognition well deserved! Enjoy WFW & this week be filled with God's Word & Presence.

I do agree how much better would we be if this is how we sought God.
